# ry maintenance

> Switch an app's maintenance mode: the edge answers every request with 503, the machines keep running.

## Subcommands

### `ry maintenance status`

Show whether an app is in maintenance mode.

```text
ry maintenance status [options] [app]
```

Arguments:

- `[app]`: The app (default: "app" from rytiv.json in this directory or above).

Example:

```bash
ry maintenance status web
```

### `ry maintenance on`

Put an app into maintenance: ALL requests get 503 from the edge until `ry maintenance off`.

```text
ry maintenance on [options] <app>
```

Example:

```bash
ry maintenance on web
```

### `ry maintenance off`

End maintenance: the app serves again with the next route poll (~2 s).

```text
ry maintenance off [options] <app>
```

Example:

```bash
ry maintenance off web
```
